Local acts announced for performances alongside Usher for Festival of Legends
The Hansa Pilsener Festival of Legends can reveal a star-studded line-up to grace the main stage with international act Usher
Zakes Batwini, Tkzee, Gangs of Instrumentals, Liquideep and Teargas with Oskido, Vigilante, Capital and DJ Tira on the decks at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday, March 10, will make this a Festival not to be missed.

Six urban artists who have been voted for by South Africans, will be announced on Friday, February 24, and perform alongside their local icons. Voting closes on Wednesday, February 22.

Durban based music mogul Zakes Batwini is one of the founding fathers of the Durban sound that has taken the international world by storm. With hits like "Shake your Bum Bum", "Clap your Hands" and "Wasting My Time" be prepared for an evening of doing just what the maestro ordered!

Teargas burst onto the music scene and left an impression of hope and social awareness, Ntokozo Mdluli and brothers Ezee Ma - E and Bantu Hanabe came and delivered. Winning best hip hop album in 2009 and 2010 shows that this is not a trio to be messed with.

Gangs of Instrumentals are a multi Channel O nominated, SAFTA Golden Horn winning, pop/urban trio with a gritty sound and street credibility. From 2004 GI has maintained their edge in the music industry with their ragga/dutty rock inspired anthems laced with both English and African languages that speak a universal tongue.

Liquideep is an international music group specialising in house music. Singer-song-writer, producer, Ziyon (USA) and producer/DJ Ryzor make up this super talented outfit. They describe their sound as original, influenced by Africa's beat and yet still boast global appeal.

"The Festival of Legends is a once in a lifetime opportunity for up-and-coming young talent to perform on the same stage as one of the best R&B stars of their generation - Usher - along with some of South Africa's top talent, and Hansa is proud to make it happen."

Gates open at noon and the first act takes the stage at 12.30pm.
