Jerrilyn Mulbah. Jerrilyn Mulbah is an impressive singer, Liberian born but based in Nigerian. She was a 2007 West Africa Idol finalist and is distinguished by her diminutive stature, her carriage and her story.
Jerrilyn is a girl who has chosen to live above the wreck of the war and is, against all odds, striding towards stardom and a successful music career. Former West African Idol contestant, Jerrilyn Mulbah is getting ready to release her debut album this year almost four years after her first public appearance in 2007.
Jerrilyn's road to fame began with her singing a tribute song to her late mother at the auditions of the first west african idols competition and her greatest wish is to embody the African woman through her music and honor the memory of her late mum by helping others.
In her stride to stardom, jerrilyn performed before an estimated 20,000 concert audience, marking the first phase of the Stop Rape Campaign spearheaded by United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL), the government of Liberia and, other partners.
As a tool for change, Jerrilyn’s music is enabling her to inspire and empower young women like herself, who have been through similar circumstances to stand for something so that they don’t fall for just anything. Her amazing life story has allowed numerous women, especially those indigenous to Africa, to value their own lives in every way possible.
Her first video is for 'Leka', with a very native/traditional concept, directed by Taiwo Badex. She would be working on a music video album where each of the album songs would have a video. Already work has begun on set, where the team traveled outside Lagos for the video 'Leka', There would also be videos for previously released single 'Molejo' and 'Mr DJ', the team at Kiss Music is set on breaking the norm and setting standards with this video.
